Monday Babble

Well I'm back. And I might add that I'm back in one piece for that matter. On the way home from work on the freeway, I witnessed what I think was a little bit of road rage gong on. Two cars flew by me (going well over 65 mph) at first looking like they were playing chase. As they were driving side by side, one car changed lanes towards the other car causing that car to move and nearly hit the car in the next lane. Slammed breaks and swerving almost out of control, nearly rolling over, he finally corrected himself. Then the chase began again as that car floored the gas pedal to catch up to the other car. I really looked like one of the two pissed of the other. They took a connecting freeway going in the opposite direction from were I was headed. Thank goodness. I only hope that they don't cause further problems down the road. HopeFULLY!

On a lighter note, I spent yesterday hiking the Pecos Wilderness. A good day, but a long one as well. Got to moms place around 9:20. Got back to my place about 9:50pm. LOTS of driving, but the trip was worth it. We hiked about six miles (according to our info booklet) and saw some good stuff. Check out the photos.

The postponement of the petroglyph's was well worth it. Perhaps, that will be next weeks adventure. But up front next week Friday and Saturday will be helping with moms garage sale! That will be fun, or NOT! We'll see how it goes. Apparently, Friday has become a hot day for yard sales. We've tried the Friday thing before with varied success. Stories later on that one.

For now though, I've got a couple of things completed tonight. That would be washing the dishes and getting some important medical bills ready to go out tomorrow. I've been blowing off the medical bills longer that I should have. I tried to get a payment plan going with the folks, but it hasn't panned out. So I'm just paying it all and getting it over with. Not my preference, but I'll live. So now I'm blogging still looking at this message at the bottom of the current browser window that says "Transferring data from ???". I hope all those photo's get up on this blog OK. Well let me take a look and sort things out, then grab a bite to eat. P.B. and J. I say. Chow all!

Gun Shot Fuckers

And I don't believe it. Some asshole just drive by the turn off to my street firing a gun. Many shots. A few minutes later, I could hear them firing more shots some distance away. I initially took a walk out to the main street to see if there was some poor soul lying on or to the side of the street. Fortunately, there was no one.

Virginia Tech back on track

Folks, I simply MUST comment on an article from MSN's web page on the students returning to class at Virginia Tech and also morning their loss. (1) They released 33 balloons in the air for those who passed away. I AM SORRY folks. Thirty two balloons for those who's lives ended tragically - YES. One balloon for the Asshole. NO. Fucker fucked himself and deserves on remembrance from us. (2) Ah prayer flag for the Asshole? Dear God. (3) Why does it take a tragedy of this nature to bring people together. We should ALL be together with respect for each others talents, strengths, weaknesses, and differences. The following note was placed next to a stone symbolizing the Asshole. Although specific to a group of people, it DOES apply to everyone.

“Cho, you greatly underestimated our strength, courage and compassion. You have broken our hearts, but you have not broken our spirits. We are stronger and prouder than ever. I have never been more proud to be a Hokie. Love, in the end, will always prevail. Erin J.”

Oh Hummmm

That pretty much describes the mood at the moment. Work was busy today. I'm been trying to fix a piece of equipment over the last few day's. Turns out I've been chasing a sub problem that may be causing the equipment failure. But turns out I've been spinning my wheels. Frustrating. I've learned a lot about the system in the process, but alas, the quest has been to fix it rather than take a detour. At least I've got some other idea's. And at least I've discovered some events that should be happening that are not. So hopefully this will help lead a solution.

Well, on the horizon tomorrow is the doctors appointment with the surgeon who specializes in this hyperparathyroid operation. This will be the initial consultation. Meet-n-greet. "Hi, how are you?, I'll slit your neck here," that sort of stuff. That appointment will be at 11:00. On the plus side, it's at the hospitals Women's Hospital. Oh Yeah!

What else, what else. Well we all know Virginia Tech Asshole sent a package of stuff to NBC. What a field day for the media. At least we know some of his motives now. And like that atones for the suffering he has imposed. Bullshit. I wonder if nations response to protect places of education will feel like post nine-eleven. We'll see. But of course, it's hot news now. What happens in a week or two. The news flash is over and not near as exciting anymore. Time for the media to move on and the nation to emotionally dwell on something else.

Enough ramble on that topic. Other than that, just attempting to fight off the urge to take a nap. Tomorrow will find me getting an early start. I've got to run a process on an equipment set before I head off to the hospital. I SHOULD be in around 7:30, but since snails are stiff competition for me on most mornings, we'll have to see.

What an ASSHOLE!

Virginia Tech is on the map for a reason no place should make the list. Okay folks, chime in here - what an Asshole! I tell ya, it's bad enough that someone would chose to take their own life, but if ya just gotta do it, DON'T be taken anybody else with ya. All those innocent lives, devastated families, lost dreams, bewildered friends, unknown contributions to society. What a travesty.

I'm sure we'll be hearing about this for some day's to come. We'll be hearing about similar past incidences, how they recovered, what's become of them. Not to mention analysis on what prompted this, how COULD it have been prevented, what was the state of mind of the gunman, and the list goes on. And here's a special request to the media, please keep your fucking microphones and camera's AWAY from the affected families. We all know what they are going through. Please let them grieve in peace.
